Sintra

We took the train from Lisbon to Sintra today to visit this lovely village of fairytale palaces and the castle towering above.

A selection of palaces and other fancy houses.

And climbed up, up up to the Moorish Castle, Chateau des Maures, towering above town.

We loved exploring the ramparts.



Then head back downhill yo the Palacio Nacional in the village.





Chocolate cups with ginger liqueur, yum.
