Morrocco Day 18 - Chefchaouen

Nice lay in this morning with nothing much planned for the day other than to wander around the village. Being well into autumn and up in the mountains it was crisp outside in the morning but still no rain. Hopefully the water diviners won't have any effect on the weather until we leave.
Lots of handicrafts around town and silk thread used in embroidery, which used to be made here.

Wedding dresses

So many picture postcard views.

Lots of fountains are found  throughout the city.

And more doorways for my themed page.

We wandered up to Hotel Atlas for views across the valley and town.

Cemeteries are more permanent in the north than the south, and in Chefchaouen they are mostly blue.

In the afternoon we walked up to the view point on the other side of town at the old Spanish Mezquita. We tried to spot our place in amongst the blue houses.

A delicious dinner at Aladdins with great views over the square. My Vegetable pastilla was topped with icing sugar and cinnamon, which strangely worked.
