From what I can tell so far, Marrakech is a very cosmopolitan city with people from all walks of life and lots of different forms of transport including donkey carts right in town.
After our meeting we headed into Djemaa El-Fna, the main square, for dinner at Number 41, one of the many tented restaurants. This square is huge and was formerly the site of public executions but these days it is used for fun and entertainment, and you can expect anything. Being Saturday night it was busy. Walking through the stalls I spied lots of dried fruit and nuts, whilst trying to keep an eye on our guide and not getting lost. Must explore this space more when we return to Marrakech.
After dinner we checked out the square from above.
There was lots going on, dancers, music, drumming, stalls and these sticks.
