Leaving Porto this morning took longer than anticipated. Our car had been broken into while parked at our accommodation and we have a smashed window. Nothing too dramatic but a bit of a pain. Only our walking poles were stolen, thankfully not our boots, and there was nothing else in the car to take.
Here's Mike in his office dealing with the car company after getting a report from the tourist police. Note the mssing rear window panel, at least our vandals were a bit considerate. Our Airbnb host was most helpful, phoning the local police for us and finding out exactly what we needed to do. Thanks Pedro. While we were at the Tourist Police four other groups came in with similar issues, such a shame for Porto, which is otherwise a great place to visit.
On arrival in Aviero we initially thought it was a bit like a town made into a theme park, but on closer inspection it turned out to be lovely and very popular with local holiday makers. We took a short trip on the canals in a traditional seaweed collecting boat. These trips were extremely popular and there were many other boats with us.
